Stephen came through on time with our project, but there were a few problems with the work done. It was a large project to move the main panel to a new building and underground the old above ground wiring. If more conduit had been planned to go through the concrete, it wouldn't have been necessary to build the stone wall on the front of the building around the above ground entrance of the conduit. Also Stephen had to punch a hole in the new metal arch building to connect the new propane generator we purchased from him, voiding the warranty on the building. Then it failed the inspection and he had to jackhammer a hole in the new concrete to connect to the rebar for safe grounding. We had to repair the damage to the concrete after he left. The biggest complaint was that he ran the new conduit into the house through the 42 year old meter box at six feet above ground after the rest of the wiring had been under grounded. When we questioned him on it, he said "It's not my job to make it look good, just to have it pass inspection." As home owners, we are not versed in the options available for aesthetics and could have welcomed constructive ideas. Unfortunately Stephen was not a good communicator, either in planning for the conduit entrances to the new building or solutions for the meter box. Now we are paying another company to come out and remove the ugly and crooked electrical entrance to our home.
Stephen is arguably the most honest and trustworthy business man out there. He also emphasizes safety over anything else, which I believe is very important when it comes to your heating and electricity. I have been doing business with him for a long time and would never think about having anyone else help me with my electrical needs.
We hired Stephen to run power to our outbuilding and were very pleased with his work, as well as his knowledge of the code requirements for this type of electrical project. His understanding of the electrical code is very solid, and he is reasonably priced and puts safety first. We also hired him to wire our power to our hot-tub, and he did an excellent job and worked with our schedule to make sure it was completed and operational the day we had it delivered.
